In January of 2007, I created a stafh infection in my Diabetic foot, partial Gangrene and
a blood infection. My foot inflamed and burst causing a concern for a foot amputation.
If I didn’t receive treatment I would have lost my foot and or died. I had to
receive 6 days of hospitalization with the Disease Treatment Physicians, pain treatment,
and IV Antibiotics which saved my foot. When I was released, I needed to receive
another IV Antibiotics 2 hours a day for 5 weeks at the Edwards Hospital in Naperville,
IL. My

Kristina M was admitted to the hospital for 16 days. By the time she was discharged she had incurred over $33,000. The Karis Group was able to help her apply for an assistance program that covered $27,000 of the hospital bill. The Karis Group then contacted the other medical providers that were involved. When the Karis Group was done the total outstanding charges were less than $2,300. Kristina was set up on a long term payment plan on the remaining balance. Total saving - over $30,000.

I am an AmeriPlan Health®
member, and I also have Blue Cross Insurance through my husband’s
work. My doctor ordered a blood test before I had met my Blue Cross $500
deductible. I went to my local Lab Corp office for the test, and using my
AmeriPlan® discount, I paid $11 for the test. The lab told me their
normal charge without insurance is $88. I saved $77 on just one blood test!
Also, I’m having major surgery next week. I’ll be using my
Blue Cross Insurance, which is an 80/20 plan. The 20% that I’ll have to pay will
amount to
thousands of dollars. I will use AmeriPlan® to negotiate with the hospital to reduce the portion I’ll have to pay. How can I NOT love AmeriPlan®?
